About ilux
Our Story
I started ilux to create beautiful, luxurious, socks knit with wonderful knitwear yarns. 20 years later, ilux continues to deliver on its original vision.
Our Magic Yarn
Our website features our Magic Yarn. We designed this yarn specifically to knit well on our sock machines. It is a wonderful blend of cashmere, silk, viscose, and tencel, with nylon and spandex, all combined to make soft, warm, cozy, stretchy, delicious socks. Everybody loves Magic.
Our Team
ilux is a small artisan business. I am involved in every step of the design process: from sourcing yarns around the world, to directing our factory in how to knit these yarns on their knitting machines. We test all of our socks before they are approved and offered to our customers. I wear them and wash them, and I have my family and friends do the same.
We knit all of our socks in a fantastic factory just outside of Bangkok in Thailand. The factory has been in business since 1964 and is currently run by the original founder and his daughters.

Our Vision
I am working on some wonderful amazing socks for 2023 It will be an exciting new year for ilux. Finally, I cut this quote out of Women’s Wear Daily 15 years ago. It is still pinned to my wall. We do our best to follow this advice in everything we do.
